….I never took English lessons even in Japan, so I had no confidence in my
English. But the way Michael talks was very easy to understand, I enjoyed
those lessons in the morning…
Also, you don’t have to feel lonely even if you come here by yourself! I
felt at home staying here because I went to dinner with other guests and we
helped each other…
I’m so glad I came here and I had a wonderful time. A.M/Tokyo
Thank you!
Thank you for everything for 2weeks!
In the beginning, I was very nervous because this was the first time I took a trip all by myself. After all, thanks to Michael NY, I had a lot of fun in NY.
I think that taking lessons in the morning was a good chance to speak English. Also I was so excited to go to dinner tours and walking tours once a week.
Harlem is great!! I thought it’s a scary place before, but everyone was much nicer and friendlier than I had expected.
Since you came to Harlem, the best thing you could do is going to listen to gospel. You could meet local people.
Although I liked Times Square and Soho, I should say Central Park is the best place to go. You would meet real New Yorkers and you could pretend to be a New Yorker as well.
Finally, I really appreciate that Michael told me so much about NY.
Besides, we found a good place to see a night view not many people know about.
I’d love to come back to NY and Michael NY again.
I will come back again!

Thank you very much for everything for those 2 weeks…we were told about many places in NY, and were also taken to dinner…. Thanks to Michael NY, I enjoyed a fulfilling NY life so much. I really appreciate that! As for lessons, beginning with how to order at restaurants, singing English songs, and discussing newspaper articles, etc… I really enjoyed those lessons in the morning. Actually, I want to write about so many things in NY, but I don’t have enough time. Here’s one thing I really want to tell you…You must go to listen to Gospel! We went to Metropolitan church where you don’t see so many tourists around. I was really impressed by the gospel choir. Since you’re staying in Harlem, you should go by yourself. Don’t take tours.
Thanks again.

The first time I heard the B&B was in Harlem, I was so nervous because I thought Harlem was a dangerous area. But when I got here, I was surprised that this area still has old upper class houses and it’s a very quiet place.
I’m so glad I stayed in such a historical house which is introduced in newspapers and movies.
Inside, the house is newly renovated and very clean.
In a relaxed atmosphere, we had English lessons in the morning. Since Michael has been teaching English so many years, he pointed out my weaknesses in English and taught me how to improve it.
It’s easy to get to Midtown by subway. It takes only 20 min.
Also staying in Harlem for 3 days changed the way I look at Harlem completely. The people are very kind!
If you are responsible, there’s no problem wherever you go! I think I had a wonderful experience.
I‘d like to come back again for sure! Thank you very much.

I was having a hard time to find a place to stay until the last minute. Thank you for letting me to stay here! You saved me. I’m very satisfied with the unexpected “at home” atmosphere. I also enjoyed the English lessons. I came to NY all by myself for the first time, in the beginning, I felt so lonely and I thought I would stay home most of the time. After all, I made friends with other guests and I enjoyed NY so much. My broken heart was healed during my stay in NY. I’d love to stay here again when I come back to NY. Thank you for everything even though it was such a short stay.

It was very good! The atmosphere of the street is nice, and the room is big and very clean… I didn’t expect to see a squirrel from a NY hotel’s window.
I felt at home and very comfortable staying here.
This B&B has changed my impression of NY completely.
I want to recommend Michael NY to many people.
Thank you for everything. We really enjoy NY and this place!!
